Aspiring Aeronautical Engineer

"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom."

Ecclesiastes 9:10 NIV

ABOUT

A junior at North Dakota State University, I'm pursuing a specialization in Aeronautical Engineering. Guided by interdisciplinarian principles and a deep passion for anything plane-related, I'm majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. I thrive in collaborative, hands-on environments and enjoy tackling challenges that involve me getting to learn something new. I will be graduating in the spring of 2027.

Born and raised in the Philippines, I lived in San Miguel, Bulacan and spent my summers in Singapore with my parents. When I was 13, we relocated to the United States, where I completed middle and high school in Bismarck, North Dakota, before moving to Fargo to continue my studies.

This summer, I interned at NASA's Langley Research Center, supporting the Structural and Thermal Systems Branch (STSB) in various capacities. Prior to joining NASA, I gained experience in the composite materials industry through R&D support of the pultrusion process at Marvin Composites and in the agricultural technology sector piloting autonomous robots with Aigen.

Beyond my academic and professional responsibilities, I'm actively involved and serve as a leader in several college organizations such as ASME, AIAA, Bison Robotics, Climbing Club, and Chi Alpha. I spend most of my free time Rock Climbing, along with some lifting and running. I'm fluent in both English and Filipino, and I also play the clarinet, saxophone, and guitar.

EXPERIENCE

Entegris
JAN 2026 — JUN 2026 ⋅ Bedford, MA, USA

Upcoming Spring Co-op - responsible for developing prototype test fixtures, test equipment, and production fixtures, modeling designs in CAD software, generating drawings, coordinating fabrication, testing, and documentation.

National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)
JUN 2025 — AUG 2025 ⋅ Hampton, VA, USA

Enhance parameter variation tool for NASTRAN analysis runs to confront more complex models and objectives through developing variation input and post-processing capabilities, supported SpaceX qualification tests at the Landing and Impact Research Facility (LandIR), and assisted with simulation quantification for the Air Traffic Operations Lab (ATOL).

Marvin Composites
AUG 2024 — MAY 2025 ⋅ Fargo, ND, USA

Perform mechanical assessments and chemical characterizations on resin formulations, fiberglass strand mats, and composite parts to qualify materials and advance the scientific understanding of inline pultrusion processes and adjacent functions.

Aigen
MAR 2024 — JUL 2024 ⋅ Fargo, ND, USA

Coordinate remotely with Washington-based engineering teams to troubleshoot autonomous weeding systems, supervise daily operations of 5-15 robots and lead 3-5 personnel for data collection and qualification of software versions.

FEATURED PROJECTS

2024 ⋅ NDSU Rocketry Team

Designed a non-commercial electronics suite to capture real-time flight data and satisfy requirements for the 2024 - 2025 NASA Space Grant Midwest High-Power Rocketry competition, integrating a Teensy 4.1, IMU, BMP, and GNSS through a PCB with EasyEDA and programming a Kalman filter for data post-processing.

2024 ⋅ NDSU Combat Robotics

Directed an engineering team of 3 students to design and fabricate a combat robot for UIUC's Robobrawl X, optimizing its structural framework, designing a high-torque chain drivetrain, and implementing a modified high-energy drum weapon to deliver maximal impact all using PTC's Onshape.

2024 ⋅ Independent Project

Self-taught personal website build through 3 iterations with foundational web development technologies and coded in VSCode, hosted through Github pages leveraging tools such as Tailwind CSS and Jekyll.

CERTIFICATIONS

AUG 2023 ⋅ Federal Aviation Administration

Licensed private pilot with 70+ hours in Cessna 172, Cessna 150, and Piper PA-28 aircraft. Passed the written exam with a 95% as a high school junior. I'm not currently maintaining my pilot currency due to budget issues (I'm broke).
